Hindus are believed to be one of the most pious followers of their religion. From times immemorial they have built temples and shrine to honor their Gods. In fact there are so many temples in the country, which are over hundreds years old and still stand high. From the lofty Himalayas, to the fertile lands of the Ganges, and from the hot simmering deserts to the beautiful shores of the seas, there are important temples everywhere.

Interestingly, our religious history is replete with how Gods and Goddesses have taken birth on Earth in different times, to save us from natural and human apathy. Even today, these stories hold as much relevance for Hindus as they did in the ancient times.
